Title: How many 696 owners have done a SSS conversion?
Post by: Rigez on August 30, 2012, 03:31:19 PM
Othere than xskiervh. I have not seen others on this forum that have taken the plunge. I'm still gathering parts but, getting very close to completing my swap.

If you have, I would like to see pics of your efforts and comments. I'm sure others would like to see also  [popcorn]

I took a different approach.  I crashed and bought a 796.

I don't recommend going in this direction, especially since you already have most of the parts.  That was most definitely on my list before the trade up though...I really love the look of the SSS.  That and it makes changing a back wheel almost enjoyable, you might even say fun. Especially when you get to see the faces of the guys on Hayabusas when you rip the wheel off in 19 seconds and dont have to touch the chain.

I digress.

Cant wait to see your progress.  Do a build write up and take 3x more pictures than you need.
