Title: Current gen oil cooler shroud torque
Post by: Bishamon on August 30, 2012, 04:47:49 PM
Does anyone have the torque value(s) for the bolts that hold the oil cooler shrouds on the current gen Monsters?  I assume they probably use thread locker as well.

Hand tight... probably 12-14.

It's not something like a brake caliper, steering head or similar where it's really important

Thanks for the advice.  I just swapped for a Euro-spec left oil cooler shroud/air deflector since I had the emissions canister removed.  There did not appear to be any thread locker on the bolts, but I used a little anyway.  The left side of the bike looks better now.  :)
