Title: GPS as a dashboard Post by: tibrocks on September 09, 2012, 01:08:52 AM Hi, I was thinking to remove the whole dashboard (mine is a custom made one, not the original Monster dashboard so no great loss here) and to install a GPS unit in its place.
as I only have a speedometer in the dash, the GPS can do that. my question is: is the speedo accurate enough? But.... (at least in my part of the world), to do so is not strictly legal. Which may or may not be relevant and/or concern you. what if you lose Sat lock? Then.... you'd have no indication of how fast you're travelling. My GPS only loses Sat in tunnels.
