Hey guys,
I have quite a dilemma with my '01 M900 Si.e.. I have recently decided to cut down my tail and create a homemade bracket for the integrated taillight I have recently bought at ebay from T-Motorsports.
(http://www.t-motorsports.com/dot-smoke-led-tail-integrated-brake-turn-signal-light-4-94-07-ducati-monster-m400-m600-m750-m900-m1000-s2-s4-s4r/ (http://www.t-motorsports.com/dot-smoke-led-tail-integrated-brake-turn-signal-light-4-94-07-ducati-monster-m400-m600-m750-m900-m1000-s2-s4-s4r/))
After cutting the subframe, and disconnecting the wirings of the M900, I decided to check if my taillight would function correctly. And to my surprise, it wasn't functioning. The only sequence that is working is the Brake Light whenever I would depress the brake lever.
I got a little nervous after the Neutral light went out, I was like, Ok....
Then I got more nervous when the cluster gauge light went out as well....
To top it all off, I tried to reconnect the whole wiring back to the OEM Lights (Brake aCound Turn Sinals), and the only thing that is working are the Brake, and High/Low Beam lights.
So essentially almost the whole wiring schematics were affected.
What gives? The bike starts up perfectly fine and it still have lights on.
Could I have short circuited the whole set-up, I think I connected the Red Wire and the Yellow Wire when I was taking them out and the bike was on, could this be the reason of my mishap?
Thanks for any input in advance.
Fuse #3 is more than likely blown. Put a new (7.5) fuse in. Either you created a short in the wiring to the tail light or the tail light is defective.
Thanks I'll check it out real quick. What If I inadvertently shorted the wiring? Would I need to buy a new harness?
