Shipping is at my cost...scared to think what shipping to NC from Hawaii 5500 miles would be!! Title: Re: Whats this bike worth in your area / region? Post by: MikeZ on September 28, 2012, 12:07:03 PM Probably will be less then what you will lose on all the aftermarket bits.
There's a thread or 3 around here about shipping bikes with a lot of good info Title: Re: Whats this bike worth in your area / region? Post by: Nomad on September 28, 2012, 12:18:58 PM It's probably 'worth' mid to high 3's, but you could get twice that parting it out...

Post by: He Man on September 28, 2012, 12:35:18 PM shipping really inst that. especially if you have to move all your other shit.
if you live in Hawaii and going to NC, im assuming your Marine Corps or something? I know a motorcycle can qualify as household items like a sofa when they relocate you. If you are not and just doing it casue you want to, ship it to cali and then ride it. it wont be more than 600ish i think. or you could always try CL, maybe someone needs to use ur motorcycle as an excuse to smuggle drugs ,thats a long shot! Title: Re: Whats this bike worth in your area / region? Post by: 118811 on September 28, 2012, 12:48:27 PM He Man,
Not military but I am Federal....and this is a personal request transfer & none of my relocation costs are covered. I love my bike but would never consider a cross the USA ride!! [bang] [thumbsdown] [roll] Title: Re: Whats this bike worth in your area / region? Post by: zooom on September 28, 2012, 12:56:28 PM depending on where in NC you are going, you'll regret selling/parting that bike out for sure, because there is some perfect riding for THAT machine.
disassemble it and pack it in boxes and ship it on a pallete with your other worldy goods! Title: Re: Whats this bike worth in your area / region? Post by: He Man on September 28, 2012, 01:02:24 PM well the shipping cost across country can be had on uship for about 600-700 if yoiu shop around. so really you are looking at 1400 ish tops. Of course it is a good excuse to get a new bike, but youll lose a lot of money selling it whole like this.
Title: Re: Whats this bike worth in your area / region? Post by: Dirty Duc on September 28, 2012, 01:04:37 PM Forward Air will charge you about $800 if it fits in their small crate...
I'll ride it for you for $700 :D Title: Re: Whats this bike worth in your area / region? Post by: 118811 on September 28, 2012, 01:17:19 PM well.... 1400 isn't that bad. 8)
But I would need to see where & who (mechanic's) are available. Yes, I was thinking I might get a used R1 or a CBR 1000.....I know blasphemy [evil] [evil] :o Title: Re: Whats this bike worth in your area / region? Post by: DRKWNG on September 28, 2012, 02:11:18 PM Frederick, I paid about $1400 when I shipped the Ducati up here from Oahu. I used Pasha/Allied, and had it insured for something like $15K. I've used Pasha each time I've shipped a bike (twice to Oahu, and once from) and can't say enough good things about them.
Title: Re: Whats this bike worth in your area / region? Post by: 118811 on September 28, 2012, 02:53:04 PM Wow....I never expected to get so much support for shipping the bike!!! [roll]
I really do love/enjoy this bike....but as some you know I have wanted a SBK for awhile, they just are just not a good fit for Hawaii roads & my commuting needs. Now that I may be on better roads....and more open, less traffic...I thought I might go that route. R1, CBR or maybe a Daytona 675??? [drool] Title: Re: Whats this bike worth in your area / region? Post by: DRKWNG on September 28, 2012, 02:55:25 PM Don't forget the flat, straight roads.
Keep the Monster. Title: Re: Whats this bike worth in your area / region? Post by: d3vi@nt on September 29, 2012, 08:33:02 AM You might be able to get $4-5k for it on a good day here in Colorado. Do you have any of the stock take-offs? If so, it might be worth putting the stock bits back on and selling (or shipping then selling) the nice aftermarket bits.
Title: Re: Whats this bike worth in your area / region? Post by: muskrat on September 29, 2012, 08:47:25 AM wow that bike looks great for it's age. DO NOT sell that girl, keep her as others have said. You'll never find another one like this and you'll immediately wish you hadn't sold it.
