Title: Fall ride on the Schallenberg pass Post by: stratus17 on October 02, 2012, 04:00:25 AM When I left home there was some sunshine. But not when I arrived on the Schallenberg pass, which is some 30 miles from Bern, Switzerland.

In summer the scenery would be fantastic (https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-PyIva0orOTo/UGrPErtinAI/AAAAAAAAAKE/bR7Heudh_18/s912/Eggiwil1.JPG) Title: Re: Fall ride on the Schallenberg pass Post by: stopintime on October 02, 2012, 04:22:26 AM Please don't complain about about the scenery when your roads are like that >:(
;) [thumbsup] How high is that and what are the road conditions on the higher passes these days? Title: Re: Fall ride on the Schallenberg pass Post by: Raux on October 02, 2012, 06:29:50 AM I had horrible rain through Switzerland in June.

As of today, all Swiss passes are still open and we are having a beautiful sunshine. But autumn is here and we won't always have nice weather. This is another photo on Gurnigel Pass (1607m) in summer. (https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-9X0ZaoPIq5E/UGsKh5auY6I/AAAAAAAAAKg/Y14nwbQDSBg/s912/Gurnigel2.JPG) |
