Title: Wiring a new ignition switch
Post by: ogad2001 on October 10, 2012, 02:55:38 PM
Hi all,
I purchased a 6 spade CEV ignition switch that I can't return, and I'm wondering if anyone would know how to wire it to the standard ignition setup on a 99 M750. There are six wires and six spades, so it ought to work, but there's no wire diagram for the switch; all I have is the diagram for the bike, which doesn't help unless I know what each spade is connected to.

Should I take the new switch apart to see? Would that even help?

I appreciate any advice you guys can give me. Thanks!

I wouldn't take it apart.  I would check for continuity between the various spades at each key position, and wire accordingly.
