Title: BMW LoRider finally in production? Post by: Pedro-bot on October 11, 2012, 01:51:06 PM Might be a derby.
I'm excited to see if this concept bike finally shows up in the showroom. Post by: Travman on October 11, 2012, 02:33:58 PM I love it. I'm surprised they didn't bring it out yet.

Title: Re: BMW LoRider finally in production? Post by: Speeddog on October 11, 2012, 04:32:42 PM Get the low pipes if you buy.
The pics and renderings of the high pipes are ridonkulous. [roll] Title: Re: BMW LoRider finally in production? Post by: Buckethead on October 11, 2012, 05:21:08 PM The pics and renderings of the high pipes are ridonkulous. [roll] The thigh burner? Yeah. I've been hoping they'd pull the trigger on this since the concept drawings came out way back when. I could see myself getting one if the price weren't horrendous. Seems like a pretty sweet "blank canvas" on which to mod. Title: Re: BMW LoRider finally in production? Post by: 118811 on October 11, 2012, 05:36:49 PM Really.....that bike is in production!!?
Rather have a Duc.......now a concept that should be made is The Honda NAS!!!! [thumbsup] Title: Re: BMW LoRider finally in production? Post by: danaid on October 11, 2012, 08:32:55 PM Very cool! :)
I'm passing on buying the current street fighter because of the expanding fuel tank, lets see who will get my money for a naked super bike in the coming year or so. Title: Re: BMW LoRider finally in production? Post by: Raux on October 11, 2012, 10:56:01 PM BMW saw the success of the Diavel, even though BMW concept came first, and decided to go production. [clap]
Maybe it will bring down the price of the Diavel. I think, V-Rod/StreeRod, Diavel, LoRider, VMax all would compete in this category. Title: Re: BMW LoRider finally in production? Post by: Johnny5 on October 12, 2012, 06:25:07 AM Wow... that is really cool. I love it.
Title: Re: BMW LoRider finally in production? Post by: spolic on October 12, 2012, 09:21:23 AM meh
I'd rather do this. (http://www.motoguzzi-us.com/public/upload/images/resized/640x436/04%20griso_lateraledx.jpg) Title: Re: BMW LoRider finally in production? [thumbsup] I wasn't familiar with the NAS. I googled it, was blown away at how cool that thing looks. But I'm more of a throw back and would rather see Honda make the CB1100 F. The guzzi is cool as well. Title: Re: BMW LoRider finally in production? Post by: Triple J on October 12, 2012, 09:33:17 AM meh I'd rather do this. (http://www.motoguzzi-us.com/public/upload/images/resized/640x436/04%20griso_lateraledx.jpg) +1 The Griso is a nice moto (used to have a 2007). The SE model made it that much better. [thumbsup] Plus, Guzzis sound fantastic with a pipe...BMWs sound like a wet fart. [coffee] Title: Re: BMW LoRider finally in production? Post by: carbmon on October 12, 2012, 05:48:49 PM .... Plus, Guzzis sound fantastic with a pipe...BMWs sound like a wet fart. I vividly remember the sound and feel of HDs, Ducs, Geese, Limeys and Airheads thundering down the front straight at Daytona through the early '80s in the heyday of BOTT racing. None of those bikes, including the airheads, sounded like a wet fart. Pull the suppressor out of the Staintunes on my '81 R100 and I promise it'll rock any gearheads soul. Have they ruined that somehow with the oilhead? Nope, I don't care for the high pipe on the BMW and yep, the Griso is sweet to my eye. Title: Re: BMW LoRider finally in production? Post by: Triple J on October 13, 2012, 05:38:42 PM Have they ruined that somehow with the oilhead? Wet fart is probably a bit dramatic I admit. [laugh] But, the BMWs I've heard with pipes don't sound all that great. Nowhere near as nice as a Duc or Guzzi. Title: Re: BMW LoRider finally in production? Post by: Privateer on October 14, 2012, 11:41:31 AM if they actually make it, I'd put it on the short list when I'm ready for a new bike.

The BMW posted above would have me selling both Italian bikes since I doubt I'd have to replace a BMW gas tank every two years. Title: Re: BMW LoRider finally in production? Post by: jerryz on November 26, 2012, 05:52:13 AM problem BMW have is with reliability these days they are way behind Ducatis.
my local shop is full of broken down recent BMWs most problems are electronic or poor quality issues Title: Re: BMW LoRider finally in production? Post by: hillbillypolack on November 26, 2012, 06:55:39 PM problem BMW have is with reliability these days they are way behind Ducatis. my local shop is full of broken down recent BMWs most problems are electronic or poor quality issues I own a GS, Megamoto, HP2e beside my 1996 M900 and 2008 S2R. I have yet to have any issue with the BMWs, though they did have a higher price point when purchased. The S2R is on its third gas tank, had fueling issues needing the DP ECU to remedy. The M900 is an older bike so it's just a rolling project bike, but did leave me stranded with a failing voltage reg and clutch slave that failed. Apples and oranges, I know. Personally, BMW has their act together for the real world without the immediate need for accessorization that Ducati does. I can't speak to the issues with the Panigale and MS1200 but I have heard a few rumblings about those models. (?) |
