Title: Chin Fairing Curiosity... Post by: mr5ev3n on October 13, 2012, 02:32:48 PM I've been reading tons and tons through DMF and stumbled across this guy
(http://static.blogo.it/motoblog/ducati-monster-696-by-stefano/big_Ducati_Monster_696_Stefano2.jpg) Anybody know what chin fairing that is? Or was it a home made mod? (I've looked through that thread and didn't see it. If anyone could point me in the right direction I'd appreciate it. I'm not a big fan of the chin fairings that I can find at the normal Monster shop sites, but this one has great lines/character. I'd hate to rip off the owners style, but I'm pretty sure we aren't in the same neighborhood... Thanks. Title: Re: Chin Fairing Curiosity... Seems so often that the basic lines established by the Duc frame get turned into a pile of pick-up-stix with added bits and pieces. Not saying that Ducati does such a great job themselves a lot of the time (I'm still struggling with the aesthetic of the mixed trellis/cast frame of the later ducs). For me, this is one of those cases where the details blow what might otherwise be an OK concept. [thumbsdown] Yeah, I know, all a personal problem. Title: Re: Chin Fairing Curiosity... Maybe it's part of a full fairing from another bike... I think pjfa knew of it. A Spanish registered bike, if my memory serves me correct (which it probably doesnt [laugh]). I love how the upper mount is Tek screwed into the (not)oilcooler shroud. I love the uneven panel gap upper edge/frame. But most of all what I love about it is this: ....that fairing is blocking the view of a beautiful motor. Title: Re: Chin Fairing Curiosity...
