Title: wheel swap for '06 S2R1K
Post by: rusty2078 on October 14, 2012, 06:09:26 AM
Hi all, interested in changing out my stock Marchesini 5 spokes to the 10 spoke variety...done a few searches here and seen several of these done. Wondering if this is a direct bolt up from a newer Hypermotard/etc. Running stock Showa front end on my 1K. Thanks for your time...

I can't say which models exactly will fit, but do keep in mind that certain bikes have angled valve stems and some (possibly older models) have straight stems that may not clear the brake caliper on models that require the angled variety. An attempt to put my 998 wheel on my S2R1K taught me that.

The hyper/848 10 spoke will bolt right up, however, the front wheel may need some fiddling with.  Did it on my S2R 800 but I had 999 front forks so I could do with no problems.
