Title: Interesting ECU behaviour - code displayed?
Post by: seevtsaab on November 05, 2012, 03:18:32 PM
05 620
Doing the dirty deed putting the Monster up for the winter. Drained the tank. oiled the cylinders,
had the fuel pump connector disconnected and cranked the engine a few times.
When I shut the key off, the right hand blinker blinked about 4 times normal and then 4 times quick (give or take).
Turned the key on and off and it did it again.
Of course I didn't repeat with the connector reconnected I just covered 'er up and plugged in the tender. Immobilizer
winking it's evil wink like usual.

Was I getting a fault code because of the unhooked fuel pump? Not concerned but I am curious, I've never seen
or heard of that.

Yes, that's a fault code that trips when the fuel pump is disconnected.  I have that exact bike.
