Title: Dash Ideas
Post by: LUX MACHINE on November 05, 2012, 06:52:54 PM
Hey there. I wanted to get some advice/opinions on my headlight issues. I have a 02 620ie Dark. I have put a V-Rod headlight on it with the V-Rod brackets bolted into the top triple tree. It gives it a great low profile look but the damn dash sticks up like a a pair of rabbit ears. I need a new set of eyes on it. Has anyone else modded something like this before?  The camera on my phone sucks so keep that in mind. Thanks in advance for the advice.

If you reflash the ECU (and disable the immobilizer), you can use whatever dash you want. MotoGadget is pretty much the cream of the crop, but they're pretty spendy. Acewell makes some good looking units, too. It's just a matter of figuring out what you want to go with.

200 plus to re-flash the ECU. Can't swing that right now. Thanks for the ideas.

I'll need to grab some pics for you but I made some carbon brackets to move my clocks back horizontally in towards the tank a little bit. I had to fool around with it a bit, there are rubber bumpers underneath the brackets and on top of the screws to keep the brackets from bouncing the clocks around. Basically it moves the clocks down the height of those rubber two sided screws and back about an inch or two. I'd like to fine tune it a bit more and make some better looking brackets as the ones on there are just a test run sort of deal. The bike is torn apart at the moment, doing the valves and engine cases, so its not exactly in the best light at the moment.

Loosened up so you can see them
