Title: Honda CT 70
Post by: Kopfjager on November 07, 2012, 07:31:06 PM
Stew and I were jacking a thread, so I thought I'd start a new one. My first bike was the CT. Mini bikes were all the rage and these things crushed them. The SL came out when my Dad bought mine for me, he wanted to get me the SL, but I had been pushed down the steps too many times. :D

Sweet!! My buddy had a CT and a smaller, 3-speed automatic Honda that we both learned to ride on.  We rode the snot out of those bikes and had such a blast.  Good memories.  [thumbsup]

I had something similar back in the UK as a kid, auto and step through, I cheated and took the driver's test on it because it was easier   ;)  You could make them do awesome kangaroo bounces...

YAY  ;D

We had one of those in that exact colour in our family.... three generations rode it - and crashed it - around the paddock.  Eventually gave it to the kid on the neighbouring farm after my Father-in-law attempted to emulate Steve McQueen's Great Escape effort.  We all stood on the back verandah and watched him ride straight into the barbed wire fence which he completely failed to see until way too late  [clap].  Only his pride was injured.

I'm in need of a pit-bike for a racing project...

The above is identical to the first bike I rode...

I'm on a hunt to find an Aztec Gold CT70 w/the 3-speed auto...  [evil] ;D [thumbsup] [Dolph]

my first was a Honda Mini Trail 50.  If anyone knows where I can find one in descent shape let me know, preferably 1980-85 model.   :D

I bought that exact bike at a garage sale for 50 bucks because it didn't start. put new fuel lines on it and gas and it started. sold it for 800 when I left CT.

learned to ride on a Z50. still have it. it's in pieces but i still have it
