Title: Pad Recommendation for Cast Iron Discs
Post by: koko64 on November 09, 2012, 03:50:23 PM
Got a Superlight that needs pads. It has the old style Brembo fully floating cast iron discs.

Sintered are out of course, but anyone have any recommendations for pads that they have tried? I was looking at semi metallic, organic Ferodos (FRP408P). Do they still have too much metal? Or should I go carbon pads?

Organic Ferodos will work very well and will also not wear the rotors.
I followed Chris Kelly's advice with using "organic pads" when I had my iron rotors and was not disappointed with their performance or wear characteristics.

Thanks, I was pretty sure I was on the right track, but was open to some other options.

I've used Ferodo; Platinums and CP211 with my iron rotors.

Both work well, the CP211 are a bit cold blooded.
