So as the title states, steve tried to install the bazzaz he recently procured into his m1100 evo today. It was all going smoothly. gas tank came off with little/no issues, the velcro stuck the device nicely to the ecu...and that's when it all went to crap. for those not familiar - the bazzaz is an ecu piggyback that requires access to basically every system the ecu monitors - throttle position, injectors, o2, etc. so, on the bazzaz wiring harness, there's an input and an output for each thing the device monitors - you unplug the two clips on the bike and basically splice the bazzaz inbetween with the corresponding female and male connections it's harness. I imagine it's all so that the thing can lie to the ecu to manipulate the closed loop section of the map...
anyway, I got to the point where you splice the injector sensors out and plug the bazzaz in, and I couldn't for the life of me figure out how these things pop out - i didn't want to yank to hard, and I'm not sure even if i did that there's enough space in the frame for me to get my gorilla hands in there and get a good enough grip to do so.
so, has anyone else tried to install a bazzaz or anything similar? thoughts? advice? constructive criticism? i'll take any of it...I can snap some pics too if that would help, but I'm not sure it would...
the bike's coming up on its 7500m service, so I may just opt to have the shop do this too...
Not sure on the M1100, but previous Monster's injectors have a small wire clip around the female connector.
A pic, with one wire clip *partially* removed to allow disconnection.
Be *very* careful removing them, as they are prone to going ping-zing, never to be seen again.

that's exactly what i was looking at. the female end of the bazzaz has the same clip on them... I just couldn't my mits in there to pop it off, esp. on the left side of the bike...
tried to pop it with a screwdriver, but couldn't get at it. any special technique? i'll give it another shot, as I dont have to pull the tank, etc. to get at it...
of course that doesn't speak to the other connectors, but i dont think any of them will be as tough as those two.
thx for the pic as well
Little wire hook probe tool.
Added bonus, these are awesome for shiskebabing your finger.
