Just ordered a racetech spring for my sachs shock.
Still appears to have good dampingand no sign of oil leak.
Thinking about have the Nitrogen recharged.
Can anyone tell me what the pressure is supposed to be?
174-217 PSI you would need a tool like one of these http://www.ebay.com/itm/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=190698803890&item=190698803890&lgeo=1&vectorid=229466 (http://www.ebay.com/itm/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=190698803890&item=190698803890&lgeo=1&vectorid=229466) if you do it yourself.
How much do you weigh, and what spring part number did you get?
200 lbs without gear.
got a racetech SRSP581085 .85km/mm spring on the
RaceTech strikes again. >:(
You'll be a lot happier with a SRSP 5815107 or SRSP 5815116.
Thanks for the suggestion.
I still have time to change the order as I haven't paid for them yet.
If there is an issue with the racetech calculator is there a suggestion for re-springing the front end.
i have picked up a set of brand new show adjustables and was going to re-spring according to the calculator at
FRSP S3627085 .85kg/mm
thanks
I'd put you on 0.95 springs.
My recommendation is to get together with a local suspension guy to help.
You're in Oz, yes?
Local suspension guy = racetech oz agent = 4 1/2 hours away
Give Brad Black at Bikeboy a ring, get his take on it.
Where are you in Oz?
I am on mid north coast NSW.
Have spoken with Brad a couple of times previously.
Brad is about 1100 ks from my place
He's a bit far away then.
I was hoping for some local knowledge to help.
How smooth are the roads where you ride?
