It's not excactly plenty of places to put it - without drilling.... Title: Re: Shark fin for S*R swingarm? Post by: Jarvicious on December 20, 2012, 07:14:00 AM Toe protector? For who's toes??

Since I have a love/hate relationship to DIY solutions (a healthy portion of them look great + satisfaction / don't have a place to work on my bike) I'd prefer finding a ready made product. That's not likely, so the focus is also on a DIY solution. I have asked Woodcraft and they didn't have or know of any. I 'painted' a steel wire and think it can be secured with hose clamps... Longer bolts, spacers, bracket, and shark fin bolting on from the outside. Title: Re: Shark fin for S*R swingarm? I thought about the chain guard bolt location too, but we're talking about a lot of angles.... Title: Re: Shark fin for S*R swingarm? I think most of the fins available and approved would disappear if they were directly involved in a crash, but hopefully this is a somewhat protected/secondary area.... That being said, I also think you're right if what you mean is that the use of steel wire and hose clamps in any case is far from optimal. Title: Re: Shark fin for S*R swingarm? Contact Simon Hughes at R&G Racing simon @ rg-racing.com See if they would develop non-tap toe protector for the S2R swingarm. Title: Re: Shark fin for S*R swingarm? Done :) If they have common sense they won't spend anything on developing for this one-person-niche market, but maybe they just can't resist a challenge... Title: Re: Shark fin for S*R swingarm? Send me a PM with details... perhaps the shark fin can ride along with the heads. [bang] Title: Re: Shark fin for S*R swingarm?
