Title: Different front tire size....consequences?
Post by: monsterjoe on December 19, 2012, 04:59:12 PM
well i got a front flat tire, when i got to the tire shop, they didnt had the size i was looking for, so i got a used tire but the size is 120/70/R17 instead of 120/60 is there any consequences about having 70 in front and 60 in the rear tire?

It will turn a little slower... depending on the tire it might pick up very small rocks and brush them against the underside of the front fender.

I'd be more concerned about the used tire.

I assume you have a "little" monster (620, 695, or 696).

The front ride height will go up a wee bit, less than .25".  Just be aware there will be a change.  If you are going to buy a 60 profile in the near future just ride with the 70 for a bit I wouldn't worry.
