bike: 07 S2R1000.. I obtained a new front brake light switch from AMS, but it doesn't match the current one. I asked for a confirmation on the part, and so far, they say a match. What I can't figure is how to get the new one in. It doesn't have the same plastic posts as the old one, and the new one has a bracket included that the bike doesn't have, with some kind of small button. Maybe a substitute part.
Maybe a picture helps, thanks.

This is on an S2R1K?
That attachment and switch look like the ones for coffin masters... like on an S2R8C
yes, the bike is an 07 S2R 1000.
What does the underside of the master look like?
The hole in the bracket thing goes on the bolt that holds the lever to the coffin masters, the posts go through the two holes in the switch and one engages in the master cylinder assembly. There is also a little post thing that pushes the button.
Pics later if no one else hooks you up.
Currently, the part numbers are the same for 1000 and 800 even though the parts aren't interchangeable (AFAIK)
The lower one in the picture does look exactly like my 800 switch.
They might need to dig deeper to find you the correct 1000 switch...
