Title: what tool to use? change belts 2002 620ie
Post by: cmejia1978 on January 02, 2013, 07:19:56 PM
hi! I've been doing a full tear down of my 2002 620ie and I would like to change the belts as well as take those ugly rubber backs behind the belt heads, sorry don't know how to call them... so which tool should I use, also which should I use to align them later, if needed...? ebay link would be much appreciated! Thank you!  [bow_down]

thats called a castle nut i believe. you need a special tool for that. you can buy a socket and make it, or buy it.

DesmoTimes sells them - but is shut down as the owner is on active duty.

You need two tools,  listed as
Cam Wheel Rotation/Holder Tool
and
Castle Nut Socket

You can probably track them down via another source.
