Title: Look what I just picked up today Post by: Pedro-bot on January 12, 2013, 03:29:44 PM ;D ;D ;D
I'm giddy and can't stop smiling! (http://i1117.photobucket.com/albums/k582/joaramos/M9002.jpg) (http://i1117.photobucket.com/albums/k582/joaramos/M900.jpg) It has some very obvious tasty aftermarket pieces. One is of the unobtanium kind. [evil] Title: Re: Look what I just picked up today Post by: muskrat on January 12, 2013, 03:33:15 PM looks very nice, congrats. [beer]

[evil] Congratulations [thumbsup] Tail piece? Swingarm or exhaust? Title: Re: Look what I just picked up today Post by: Pedro-bot on January 12, 2013, 04:01:58 PM Congratulations [thumbsup] Tail piece? Swingarm or exhaust? Thank you. Swingarm is the SSS Febur kit for the pre 2002 Monster. With Marchesini magnesium wheels. [evil] Exhaust isn't all that pretty, it's Staintune exhaust that really need either replacing or a new shot of clear on the carbon. But, it has a full spaghetti exhaust. ;D Also has high comp piston kit and FCR flat sides. 8) Title: Re: Look what I just picked up today Post by: 10/10ths on January 12, 2013, 04:11:48 PM Nice!

Do you still have the s4rs and the 749? Title: Re: Look what I just picked up today Post by: Pedro-bot on January 12, 2013, 05:26:36 PM Thanks swampduc.
Sadly no, I sold the 749s a little over a year ago. It was my track bike and I haven't had or made time for any more track days. :( I still have my S4 and the M750. Not sure if I want to keep the S4. I've been wanting a 900 or 1000 Monster, this one came up so I snatched it up. Maybe by the time spring time comes around I'll make up my mind about whether to keep the S4 or not. ??? I see your collection has grown! Very nice selection. [thumbsup] Have you put that track suit to good use? Title: Re: Look what I just picked up today Post by: IZ on January 12, 2013, 05:30:06 PM Congrats. Nice looking bike

Title: Re: Look what I just picked up today Post by: JohnEE on January 12, 2013, 06:03:51 PM The bikes looks great, congrats! Did the PO chop up the rearsets?
Title: Re: Look what I just picked up today Post by: Greg on January 12, 2013, 08:24:16 PM I saw that bike on Craigslist and thought about buying it just because of all the tasty bits on it, especially the flat slide carbs and ohlins suspension
Title: Re: Look what I just picked up today Post by: Pedro-bot on January 13, 2013, 05:31:43 AM Thanks everyone.
The bikes looks great, congrats! Did the PO chop up the rearsets? Yeah, he chopped 'em up to get the swingarm and exhaust fitted. Those will be going. I have a set of cycle cats that's I found for sale. They should be coming in soon. ;D I saw that bike on Craigslist and thought about buying it just because of all the tasty bits on it, especially the flat slide carbs and ohlins suspension Yeah, it was on CL yesterday. I just happened to come across it a few minutes after it was up. Contacted the seller and well.....here we are. Title: Re: Look what I just picked up today Post by: Pedro-bot on January 13, 2013, 05:41:54 AM BTW, in case anyone is interested I have the following items that I may be posting for sale soon. Not sure yet.
1. FCR flat sides 39 2. Ohlins DU440 These are extra bits I purchased this past summer for a different project. They are uninstalled and sitting in a box. Maybe I'll change my mind about selling, but I'm strongly considering it. Title: Re: Re: Look what I just picked up today Post by: triangleforge on January 13, 2013, 10:48:43 AM Very nice!

I've always wondered what it would look like on a monster that wasn't a full custom like one of the RAD bikes. Nice bike too!

I've always wondered what it would look like on a monster that wasn't a full custom like one of the RAD bikes. Nice bike too! I don't much like this headlight. Seems like it's sticking too far out. I may mod it to pull back a bit or just place the OEM back on there. Dunno yet. I'll try to get a few more pics of it for ya. Check back in a day or so. Title: Re: Look what I just picked up today Post by: ccm900 on January 14, 2013, 08:26:35 PM I'm not sure if its the one I'm thinking of. Can't tell in your pictures. Anyways here's a few links for reference.

Title: Re: Look what I just picked up today Post by: dlearl476 on January 17, 2013, 12:48:45 AM NIce bike! [thumbsup] What's the story with the forks?
Oh, btw, did I ever tell you about the time I rode into a low speed gravity storm and the Ohlins reservoir landed right on my knee? [bang] (http://crs-america.smugmug.com/Motorcycles/Ducati-M900/i-5hG9z7F/0/Th/2867235440076697328S600x600Q85-Th.jpg) Title: Re: Look what I just picked up today Post by: Pedro-bot on January 19, 2013, 08:18:54 AM NIce bike! A quick ride on it tells me the front end needs better forks, i.e., adjustability or a cartridge kit. Yeah? How's your knee now? I like that shorter line and bracket. And I like the idea of the reservoir being out of the way. Where can I get one? Is that the Harley headlight that's on there? You have any other pics with a better view? Here's some pics for you ccm900 (http://i1117.photobucket.com/albums/k582/joaramos/0817DD77-5D07-48C7-8BCB-41AF7B61EBED-4830-000001962CE04CD5.jpg) (http://i1117.photobucket.com/albums/k582/joaramos/1E0EDE65-2844-49C2-8516-5172633B2229-4830-000001962A3392EC.jpg) I don't like it much right now. Think it's more the gauges sticking too far up and out. They look bulky. Need something like this (http://motogadget.com/media/catalog/product/cache/2/image/800x600/9df78eab33525d08d6e5fb8d27136e95/m/s/msl_silver_14_800.jpg) Title: Re: Look what I just picked up today Post by: JohnEE on January 19, 2013, 09:44:53 AM yeah the gauges are drawing your eye instead of the headlight, quite the opposite effect intended. Moto gadgets gauges are nice though.
Title: Re: Look what I just picked up today Post by: ccm900 on February 07, 2013, 10:47:08 PM Forgot about this post...Ooops
Yeah, I think your right about the gauges. I know you can get a pretty penny for the headlight too since I shopped around on eBay for one. That is if you decide you don't like it |
