Title: Painting a clutch plate? Post by: hyflight on January 22, 2013, 06:25:20 AM If I install the pressure plate linked below, can I paint the first clutch disc that would still be visible? I'm new to Monsters (2010 1100) and have not gone inside the clutch yet. Can I just slip off that first plate? If it's okay to paint, any suggestions on a quality spray paint? Any other thoughts/advice?

It will just wear/burn off, and may cause slipping. Title: Re: Painting a clutch plate? Post by: Slide Panda on January 22, 2013, 06:44:15 AM The exterior of a dry clutch pressure can be painted. Run a search and you'll find folks who have done it. Do not paint the back side.
As DP said, don't paint any of the plates that for the plate stack. |
