Title: Feral hogs anyone? Post by: muskrat on January 24, 2013, 03:48:24 PM sent off for information on a guy named Grant that offers "Kill a Hog" expedition (4 hours) and a safari overnight for up to 10 people. They supply everything including guns and ammo......AR's but I think we can bring bigger calibers. [evil] He does chopper hunts too and full processing of meat.

Title: Re: Feral hogs anyone? Post by: The Bearded Duc on January 25, 2013, 02:02:01 AM My dad's been trying to get me to do this for a while. Apparently, in Florida, it's open season year round due to the over-population. And most of the places claim there are so many that they guarantee a kill.
Good hunting boys, keep your feet dry! Title: Re: Feral hogs anyone? Post by: muskrat on January 25, 2013, 12:07:16 PM it's open season year-round here also on private land.
Title: Re: Feral hogs anyone? Post by: fastwin on January 25, 2013, 01:18:23 PM kopf and I swapped several of those helo/hog hunt videos a year or so ago. They are buried on the big board somewhere... forget which thread. Might be my gun stuff thread.
Those videos single handedly lowered my teenage step son's grade point average at the time. Instead of doing homework he was watching those videos laughing about the cart-wheeling hogs doing snow angels. What a great job that would be! Target rich environment for sure. [thumbsup] [popcorn] [bacon] Title: Re: Feral hogs anyone? Post by: TresGatos on January 25, 2013, 08:29:07 PM I've seen some hog damage to yards and fields out here. Free to kill from what I hear [bacon]

Title: Re: Feral hogs anyone? Post by: fastwin on February 07, 2013, 12:11:08 PM Offended? WTF?? [laugh] [laugh]
I thought that is what we do here!! ;) To me, feral hogs are just like really large prairie dogs or home burglars. Red mist their ass and ignore those that are offended. [thumbsup] [popcorn] [bacon] Mmmmm... bacon, ham and backstrap! [drool] OK that's all a bad joke. Just being my usual rude ass self and trying to be funny. Fail... [roll] Title: Re: Feral hogs anyone? Post by: muskrat on February 07, 2013, 01:05:04 PM well the guy never called me back and I've tried him three times....... [bang]
so, who has some land they'd like to use as target practice? Title: Re: Feral hogs anyone? Post by: fastwin on February 10, 2013, 09:33:38 AM I'd go with a Surefire 60 or 100 rnd mag (if you can still find them [roll]) or a Beta C-mag... more shooting less re-loading. ;) [thumbsup]
Still... how much fun would that be? Afterwards I'd send the vid to PETA for fun. [evil] |
