So yesterday I installed the full termignoni exhaust( 96454009B) and when I started up my bike, this message rolled accross the screen, "monster 1100 racing EVO"
Did anyone else's bike display the EVO words or have I been given the wrong ecu.
I will pull the ecu tomorrow and contact Ducati NA to confirm the part #.
Dan
Dont pull the ECU.
The "racing EVO" welcome scroll is indeed the greeting you get from the ECU which comes with M1100 Termi Full System. Same thing when I fitted mine to my '09 M1100s (although in '09 there was no M1100 EVO model, so the confusion didnt arise).
Relax and go enjoy your new full system [Dolph] [thumbsup]
I recently bought a 2010 M1100 that had Termis already installed. I didn't give it any thought until your post, but on start up, my display does shows "EVO" as well. I have not noticed it saying anything about racing, but will watch for it next time.
Whewwww...... :P...... [clap]...... [beer]
Thanks guys!
I've been angry all day thinking I would have to pull apart the bike once again.
By the way, I can't believe how [evil] The bike sounds now!
Once again thanks!

As mentioned, I bought my 10' M1100 with the Termis installed. How can I tell if I have just slip on's or a full system? I'm told it has a Ducati Performance ECU.
This is the first twin I've ridden. In the past 7 or 8 years, I've been riding either a thumper or an inline four. The M1100 "feels" more like the single...what I mean, if I roll off from a stop and don't use a lot of throttle input, the bike mildly lurches, as if I'm lugging it (like sitting in a 69 Boss 429 in first gear and letting idle power move the car forward...sorry, it's all I could come up with). Once it revs up, it's very smooth. Lastly, if I'm in a low throttle situation in 2nd or 1st gear, such as gently going down hill through a neighborhood, the exhaust doesn't back fire, but almost sounds as if it wants to pop...again, akin to a single. Does this all sound normal?
Is there a picture I could take to make answering the first question easier? (I'll then try figuring out how to post pictures).
Thank you friends,
Sky
normal and AWESOME [evil]
