They only run 1,000ft in Top Fuel these days and he was over 300 when that happened.  :o

Tells how much I have watched NHRA recently lol. I gave up when that 4 abreast shit started showing up.
Of course, one of my favorite racer authored coffee table books is "I Saw Elvis at 1000 Feet" by John Force. That dude's post run interviews always made me giggle.

After Scott Kalitta's crash in 08, Top Fuel went to 1,000ft as a lot of the old tracks don't have enough run off. The 4 by is only at Charlotte and its awesome. 28,000 hp at once.  [evil]

Did Brown win since he crossed the finish line first? ;) Damn, great safety built into those rail jobs. Awesome, scary stuff.

I remember Garlitt's (Swamp Rat) wreck YEARS ago that made the move to rear motor rails. Glad Brown walked away! [thumbsup] If you have never been to a NHRA meet you are missing a show and them some. Put it on your bucket list.

4Wide Nationals. Nothing can compare to 40,000 HP on the starting line.  [evil]
