Anyone have a picture of the stands that are used to lift the front/rear of the bike to pull the tires/wheels? Or a website that sells them?
I got one with my 2000 Monster but it sure as hell won't allow me to pull either wheel. Guy must never have used it at all. :(
Thanks!

obviously there's a big price range - and I have a pretty in expensive rear stand made by handy industries (though doesn't seem in production anymore), but I'd say it was the exception to the rule. From what I've seen with stands, you get what you pay for. If you've got to scrimp on one, look at the front stand, as it'll see less use.
Get a good rear stand, you'll be happy you did. For my recent b-day, I got a pit-bull rear with detachable handle. That little feature's saved me a number of trips and banged toes in the garage.
i purhcased a set for t-rex racing for less than $200.00 and must say, front converts from under forks to under triple and very very happy . . . use under triple function to remove front tires

This stand looks interesting http://www.motomfg.com/MotoMfg_paddock_stand_Ducati_p/ps-1.htm (http://www.motomfg.com/MotoMfg_paddock_stand_Ducati_p/ps-1.htm)
Those are cool - but don't work for a 2000 Monster >:(
But, this one does,

For a scant $600... ouch. And you can't move the bike.
Got the Moto Stance rear stand from Motorcycle Super-Store today. Well, ordered it. People with non-spool swingarms seemed happy with it. I have a front stand that may work. We'll see.
these work for me.

I purchased a front stand from Kapsco Moto and it has been great. FWIW To remove the axle I have to lift the bike from the calipers, but it's been great for keeping the bike in the air in the winter: http://www.kapscomoto.com/Lift_Stands_s/1180.htm (http://www.kapscomoto.com/Lift_Stands_s/1180.htm)
I've been using a Harbor Freight Stand (I know I know :-[) for a few years now. Not super nice, but does the job: http://www.harborfreight.com/motorcycle-swingarm-rear-stand-65620.html (http://www.harborfreight.com/motorcycle-swingarm-rear-stand-65620.html)
When I have a nice garage and nice tools and nice things I'll get a set of Pit Bulls.
