Title: WSBK starts this weekend Post by: Cher on February 21, 2013, 06:34:19 AM WSBK is back and SPEED is no longer carrying the races. beINsports is the channel now where the racing can be found. If you've got Time Warner Cable they're on channel 237 and 804HD. The beINsports website has a place where you can input your zip code and cable provider to locate the exact channels for your situation. At least it is on a real sports channel that knows how to show a match and hopefully a race without ad breaks. Coverage should be good, it is listed as 7(or 6:30) - 11:30pm Saturday. Title: Re: WSBK starts this weekend Post by: nickshelby500kr on February 21, 2013, 07:10:55 AM i thought WSBK was usually broadcasted at like noon?
Title: Re: WSBK starts this weekend Post by: Cher on February 21, 2013, 08:58:37 AM I think SPEED channel pretty much showed WSBK whenever they damned well pleased, usually as filler in between the NASCAR soap opera. Tape delayed almost always. Title: Re: WSBK starts this weekend Post by: andym on February 21, 2013, 09:00:01 AM i thought WSBK was usually broadcasted at like noon? Not if you want to see it live. "Unfortunately beIN SPORT is not available in your area on Verizon FiOS." Title: Re: WSBK starts this weekend Post by: swanny on February 21, 2013, 09:10:54 AM Lisa,
Did you confirm that you can get the BeIn sports on TWC? Do you have any special sports package? My neighbor has TWC but he said that he had to subscribe to view BeIn. I am so pissed at Verizon and their inability to get BeIn Sports that I am dumping them tomorrow and getting TWC installed so I can watch the races Saturday night. Just want to make sure I have the right package that includes BeIn Sports. Looking at Verizon's website, not having BeIn sports has been their top customer complaint since September. Thanks, Swanny Title: Re: WSBK starts this weekend Post by: nickshelby500kr on February 21, 2013, 09:12:38 AM Boooo.... Thanks, Swanny Yeah, a few years back I added a $10.00 premium for soccer that wasn't covered under their basic cable package. But we don't have HBO or anything like that, just the sports upgrade to the basic package. Maybe we can have a get some folks together to watch one of the races at my house this summer like the old days ... I can't go on a pre-race watching ride, but we can watch some races! Title: Re: WSBK starts this weekend Post by: TresGatos on February 22, 2013, 08:43:12 PM I started riding sport bikes in 08 and am just now becoming interested in watching and reading about racing. Of course I didn't have much access to it before. Some good stuff on YouTube and such sure helps. [Dolph]
Title: Re: WSBK starts this weekend Post by: Cher on February 23, 2013, 03:20:07 AM Last year's WSBK races at least were usually posted on youtube in their entirety a day or two after the race [Dolph] Title: Re: WSBK starts this weekend Post by: TresGatos on February 23, 2013, 03:20:03 PM Last year's WSBK races at least were usually posted on youtube in their entirety a day or two after the race [Dolph] Cool. Title: Re: WSBK starts this weekend Post by: Cher on February 24, 2013, 05:13:22 AM Enjoyed the beINsports coverage. No commercials, same commentators, and still the best motorcycle racing out there. Having it broadcast live and in order (Race 1, WSS, then Race 2) was pretty cool too. I noticed on the WSBK 2013 schedule they're not coming to the COA, just Laguna Seca for a lone US stop. Maybe next year :-\ Title: Re: WSBK starts this weekend Post by: IZ on February 24, 2013, 08:27:57 AM Any place showing it around the Plano/Frisco area today?
Title: Re: WSBK starts this weekend Post by: TresGatos on February 24, 2013, 03:56:58 PM I have not seen any coverage yet as i cannot get enough of round-the-clock NASCAR [roll] ;D

Agreed, the coverage was great, even got to see some highlights from European football during the breaks between races.
