Title: Rizoma rearsets for 1100M Post by: acto on February 23, 2013, 03:26:45 PM Hi guys
So I just completed switching the bar and top triple on my 2009 1100S monster with a new top triple for speedymoto and clip-ons from Woodcraft. Now I'm looking to replace my rearsets with the ones from Rizoma. I love the way they look and I've heard nothing but great things about them. But I really like the fact that there are quite a few adjustment options. So I just wanted to know if there is anyone who has replaced thier rearsets with the Rizoma and how they like them. The only thing holding me back is the cost of them..... Thanks A Title: Re: Rizoma rearsets for 1100M Post by: muskrat on February 23, 2013, 03:36:49 PM I rode one with them and liked them but you're right, pricey. I know nothing about these but a quick search found them at half the cost and they look nice too http://www.satoracing.com/rearsets_ducatim1100.htm (http://www.satoracing.com/rearsets_ducatim1100.htm)
These are great too and I have personally heard no bad things about them http://stores.sportbiketrackgear.com/Detail.bok?no=13791 (http://stores.sportbiketrackgear.com/Detail.bok?no=13791) Title: Re: Rizoma rearsets for 1100M Post by: COP TZR on February 23, 2013, 03:37:01 PM the only thing making you do this is the damn snow outside and our inability to ride right now... The quality of the Rizomas and the finish...is much better. The woodcraft rearsets are nice.....but are limited in the settings. A buddy who is the same height as I am (6'1") has the Woodcrafts and he feels very cramped on them... I don't want that for sure...I've heard form one supplier of them... Monsterparts..that after years of use....Rizoma finish looks just as good as the first day.. Pricey but good [thumbsup]. If you want the quality without the entire spend, Rizoma's S*R rearsets will fit your M1100 for a few $$ less. A few minor mods required to fit (rear brake line needs to be replaced... can't remember if there's anything else... do a search.. it has been done around here). Title: Re: Rizoma rearsets for 1100M Post by: danaid on February 25, 2013, 04:53:41 PM I have Sato rear sets on my 696, the quality is excellent, the shifters are mounted on heavy duty bearing. Only thing I didn't like are the pegs don't fold up, but they are optional.
I bought the Rizoma rear sets for my 1100 and they are beautiful. The pegs are the folding type, and they install easier than the Sato rear sets. The best prices for Rizoma rear sets are at PJ's parts. Plus, they took care of me when I dropped my bike with my two week old Rizoma rear sets and needed to order replacement parts.
