Hello,
recently purchased a used fuel tank for my bike because I am having the original tank painted. I have a carbed monster with a metal tank.
My original tank didnt have a drain bolt on it for the fuel tank (I've read that some tanks do and some tanks dont) the new tank does and unfortunately the used tank I purchased has all the parts removed from it.
Does anyone know the part number for this drain bolt or know the actual size of the bolt so I can just use a different bolt as a substitute?
I've tried looking thru manuals as well as parts stores online and none of them have a listing or any info on the bolt. It appears in the diagrams but never has any info.
Thanks.
The link below is a photo of the drain hole where the missing bolt would go:

Depending on the year of the tank it is either 8x1.25 or 10x1.5. The pic looks like 10mm, but I can't tell for sure.
It uses an aluminum crush washer. You could probably substitute a different material.
the tank is a 2000 m750 metal tank.

...and I'm not positive what year they switched.
I
think that a 2K is 10mm.
The 2 different sizes won't be more than a dollar for both and another 25 cents for sealing washers.
