The short
- if you take the DMV approved course, or, while stationed outside of the Commonwealth, take a course approved by the United States Armed Services, your completion card is your motorcycle endorsement for 30 days to give you time to get a permanent license at DMV. No further testing is required.
- The bill provides provides a method to deactivate your registration, without the need to turn in your plates then go back down to the DMV to get new plates when you want to hit the roads again. This will be able to be done online. When you wish to re-activate you pay a $10.00 fee. This lets you change you insurance to theft only or drop it for raod going conditions, without the risk of a suspended licence for not carrying insurance.
So winter garage session or deployments could make for a hair less life hassles.
