Title: Pirelli dialbo rosso corsa
Post by: Silver duck on March 12, 2013, 08:08:07 AM
I have these on my 07 sr4. Anyone else have experience with these tires. They don't feel real stable I'm running 36r 34 f. They don't seem warm after a ride maybe the pressure is too high.

How old are they?

Most folks go a little softer, like 32F 34R

And when you say don't feel stable - can you elaborate?

There 6 months old. I fell like I can't turn as fast as the old diablo 2's

Good tires and plenty sticky for street riding.

I'm with Slide on the pressures, drop yours a couple psi. The turn in issue is probably due to the profile being a bit flatter than your old tires.

Slower turn-in would suggest the new tire has less of a "V" shape than the last. Of course, a slower turn-in should actually make the bike feel more stable, not less like you indicated. I wonder if the new tires are actually more "V" shaped than before, and you're just having trouble describing the feeling of the bike wanting to fall into corners more than before.  ???

Anyway...I thought they were good tires with plenty of grip.  [thumbsup]

You're saying sort of contradictory things. You first said they feel less stable, but then you say they are harder to turn in. Generally in tires, less stable = easier to turn in like a sharper V profile that Triple J mentions vs a more regular hemi-spherical profile

The Rosso Corsas are definitely taller than the plain Rossos, they're just a tad lower than the SuperCorsas. I think the plain Rossos result in almost 5mm lower front rideheight compared to the Rosso Corsas! Probably they're also taller than the diablo 2, never compared those.
