Title: Lost in Ref# for a 2007 S2R1k ECU.
Post by: Le Piou on July 02, 2008, 04:25:31 PM
I am super confused.
Fron what I understand, the right DP ECU for my 2007 S2R1k is the #96519208B and it is the same that is for the sport Classic family. It makes sense because they all use the same DS1000 engine.
Fine.
now I read on another forum that a guy with a HyperMotard (DS1100 engine) has used both #96519208B (from the cams kit) and/or the #96518708b (from the pipes kit)....
I Know they are both programmable but I want to be sure which one I have to look for....

What do you have on your 2007 S2R1k???????

I know. According to Michael, the only one which will work is the P/N 96517406B.
I keep reading people using the other DP ECU (for classic, multi, HM) saying it works fine, But he told me only the 96517406B will work really fine...
Commercial scam? I clearly stated that I won't pay over a grant for the ECU before asking what I should look for on internet (craiglist, ebay...)
this ECU thing is really a big pain in the @$$!!!!! [bang]
