Title: 1100 Evo Comp Werkes Post by: Narflar on March 31, 2013, 09:13:15 AM Just ordered the GP can with black center. The option isn't on their website but they sent me a pic of it on a Diavel. Had to get it! They still show the Carbon Fiber on their website but it's not an option anymore. They said the carbon fiber couldn't hold up to the heat generated.

May or may not have the pipe yet. 2 weeks for assembly and shipping. Title: Re: 1100 Evo Comp Werkes Post by: Curmudgeon on April 03, 2013, 04:52:36 PM If the weather's nice I'll try to stop by. All this cold weather needs to go away. Not sure I trust the weather man either. Still, next week has some spring days and I'm heading for the mountains if it really DOES get warm! Unfortunately, Manolo has a new job which doesn't so far allow him to play hooky.:( That nice weather might last into the weekend..., but who knows. If it looks good, I'll post on the Richmond thread. We've been going over to Osborne Landing for lunch because they do make a killer Bloody Mary. http://binged.it/12gxAFq (http://binged.it/12gxAFq) Will keep you posted.May or may not have the pipe yet. 2 weeks for assembly and shipping. I like the way it looks, but I want to redo it so that I can pull the pipes apart to get to the oil screen without having to unwrap. i dont actually think i have any other pics, but it should be nice this weekend so I'll try to remember to snap some while i've got it out. Title: Re: 1100 Evo Comp Werkes Post by: Narflar on April 20, 2013, 08:53:53 AM The more I ride around with it the less loud it seems. My initial reaction was based off the stock pipe and it is much louder than that but that's to be expected. With the insert it just sounds like a loud pipe and you can keep it civil around the neighborhood if you want. Get on the gas though and it will howl. My shift points are all screwed up because 4krpm sounds like 8krpm from the old pipes. I end up short shifting until I relearn the sounds.
It has a bit of a raw sound to it, which I like. Some may not. Not as bad as open pipes though. My neighbor has a harley and I think the only reason my pipe gets more attention is just because it revs higher so the tone is different. I feel the dB level is on par with most of the harley pipes. They said the carbon fiber couldn't hold up to the heat generated. Whats this??? Comp Werkes not selling a crappy product to someone? Sounds like they should do the same for the fender eliminator kit as well! lol Sorry to thread jack a little....It just made me chuckle. |
