Apparently this come off of my 1997 Monster 750. Any idea who makes these??? They say DU stamped on the side along with numbers saying to belongs on a 750 or 900 monster. Here are a few pics.

I would guess those are the stock cans, shortened (and possibly cored) and spray-painted black.
those actually look like shortened OEM cans . . .

I thought they where OEM. But I would have never guess they where cut stockers.
definitely chopped stock cans. i had the exact same thing on my 03 620ie.
If you keep the stock cans you gotta cut em. Out of the factory they look and sounds terrible. Big and bulky and sounds like the bike has no meat to it.
but I suppose with all 50 lbs of torque, it really doesn't have much meat.. lol. I ride a 2011 696.

I havnt tried putting them on the bike yet. But we will see. Well if I did the math for how torque/ price I payed for the bike. It would be .02 = 1 lbs. So no complaints there!!!
