Title: 2009 696 - add speedometer

I have a very hard time reading my speedo in the daytime - especially in certain lighting conditions.  I want to mount an after market speedometer.  I am thinking to fabricate a mount off of the handlebar mounting bolts but need some input on what to buy and how to pickup the signal.  Anyone been here?

why not get your ecu flashed, remove the stock dash, and go full aftermarket

Or, if you haven't already, try playing with the illumination adjustment for your gauges, as per your owner's manual. A bit of a PITA, but cheaper and easier than new gauges.  No manual?  Download one here:
