Title: RoadRacing tach
Post by: Dirty Duc on April 08, 2013, 05:06:42 PM
So, I'm riding this poor neglected 96 m900 with the RoadRacing tach, and the tach is obviously not reading right at all.

The needle bounces around and kind of does it's own thing regardless of how fast the bike is going... and never shows higher than about 5k RPM.

The questions: where did RR decide to pick up the signal, and how much am I going to hate chasing this down?  I'd prefer not to pull the bike apart any more than necessary...

Everything else about the bike is great, but the tach is kind of annoying.

It should be reading the signal either at a coil or ignition box.

Be careful with the ignition boxes. The connections are fragile.

That doesn't sound too terrible.  Thanks!

That tach is obviously fubar. You should just sell it to me.

Watch the classifieds... it's coming attached to a bike, though.

No chance we could work out a deal on it? I've wanted one for quite some time. You could have my current dash plus cash...
