Lots of things wrong, but in the end nothing wrong.  What should happen did happen.  Karma, fate, stupidity whatever you want to call the cause.

Wow, what an idiot in the cage.  Not often do you get a chance to see karma at its finest so quickly.  [laugh]

Besides the idiot in the car, I also see some idiots riding bikes with no gear

Never attempt a stunt like that in a Volvo. Try it in a Subaru next time.

Is there some reason that the bad @$$ motorcycle gang needed to fill up the whole road and block traffic?

Whole lot of things wrong.

i just saw this a couple days ago at another forum, according to them this was somewhere in florida at a big bike meet (so not a gang).

i wonder what would have happened if he had managed to take out some of the bikes.

Sorry, the first thing I would have done is stopped, "Hello this is Jackson County dispatch can I help you".  It might have been just a bit confrontational but it might have been fun playing tag with him to get his plate number.  I wonder if anyone did.

one of the reasons I don't like big group rides.

Personally I think the riders are lucky it was not me in the car.  Florida group rides are the squiggliest things I have just about ever seen.  They OFTEN play these "shut the freeway down" games.  They ride the exact speed limit in all lanes.  They do it to be jackasses and had it been me I would have stayed on the road zig zagging between them while forcing my way through while throwing pennies out my sunroof.

Florida is the single worst place I have ever been for asshat riders on sport bikes.

I won't ride in groups larger than three or four and that is only if in the mountains.  Florida/sportbike  [laugh] [laugh] [laugh] [laugh] [laugh] [laugh]

SkyBarney,

Everyone has reasons for their own opinions and are certainly entitled to same.

Speaking strictly for myself, and avoiding the opportunity to reply with a commensurately narrow opinion and blanket accusation, I can say I have been riding in Florida for eight years and have yet to come across groups of riders deliberately clogging/hogging both lanes solely to impede traffic.

As for anyone throwing pennies out of their car around me, or any of my friends, I can assure you your money will not be lost because we would definitely make sure you would be reimbursed.

But do not let me dissuade you from returning to Florida. We appreciate the fact that you leave enough money with us so that we do not have to pay state income tax. It is sort of compensation for having to tolerate you for a while.

BTW, I also do not enjoy group rides of over four or five riders at the most.

Old,  I was just in Tampa about a month ago and I saw such a spectacle, all sport bikes, many with extended swingarms.  They were blocking traffic riding three lanes wide.  They were going the other way but I could clearly see the long line of pissed off cagers.  I felt better when on the way back it looked like they were getting mass tickets.

Ride like an asshat and get treated like an asshat.  BTW I lived in the Keys for three years and it looks like I have to go spend a couple more years down there as soon as my super duper top secret project is completed.

No offense intended to non asshats ( :

agree 100% anything more than 4 bikes is a crowd for me.

Keep your pack tight and don't lose track of your wingman.  :)
