I'm on the fence about buying one, and there aren't a whole lot of pics out there. But from what I've seen they look pretty damn sweet.
Just mangled my stock fender in an attempt to chop it :(
Doesn't even appear to need chopped in any way...damn it looks sexy

is it dent proof?
I have looked at the underside of my plastic fender and it has some real "insults" carved into it....
not sure aluminum will go the distance without looking like a tramp semi-tractors trailer eventually
I guess thickness will be an important consideration

Good points that I hadn't thought of. Oddly enough that makes me want to buy it more just so I can post a review.
PM Duck stew and see if he still has one

You can ask but I think that fender went to duc_poultry then with the bike when it was sold, IIRC.
Won't hurt to ask though. I love that fender too [thumbsup]
Hows a price of $99 shipped sound for this fender? based on the $$ of oem fenders, it seems like a good deal to me.

Bearded Duc- does the fender look nice and low profile IRL like it does in that pic? I really hate how long and goofy my stock fender was before I mangled it with a plunge cutter.
That pic is completely representative of how they look.
Here's one I put on an S4R.
If you don't want one of those for $99 shipped, I'm sure there's others here that would gladly go for that deal.

Yeah, that thing is hot.

Yeah, the pics don't do the fender justice. They really look the tits in person!
$99 sipped sounds good to me. Hell, I've seen OEM fenders going for $150.

I saw that S4R on cragislist shortly after Jesse sold it and really wanted to buy it, but then I asked Jesse and found out the seller was asking way too much... :-\

What kind of mufflers are those, Jeff?

They look like the Sil Moto megaphones to me.
I've always liked those. But since I'm cheap and can't tell the difference anyway, I'd just buy these:

^ those used to be $30 2 years ago..
Here's where I got my fender. Actually mine was $96 shipped.

If anyone is looking for that DP aluminum fender, I've got a brand new one in the original packaging with hardware available. Never mounted/assembled

Looks great to me. Seems to be a minor scuff in one pic then it's not there in another, either way it's no big deal. I'm positive you'll be happy with the purchase [thumbsup]

Didn't buy it new but my '66 Bonneville came stock with aluminum fenders. Still in great shape after 40+ years. But yeah, the alloy/heat treat and thickness are in the equation. Don't think the Brits went overboard on that kind of stuff though.
I accidentally bought 2. God these are so nice. I have the extra one for sale in the classifieds cheeeeep if anyone's interested.

Marving Racing Steel Low-Mount
Will this fender fit on pre-2000 Monsters? I assume I'd have to fab some type of bracket adapter but I'd appreciate it if someone would chime in. Hopefully I'm not overlooking something which I have done on other occasions.

Depends which forks you have. Fender mounts were a little different on the earlier models.
the AL fenders have two mounts. the higher mounts of the old style and the lower mounts of the news bikes.
there're adaptor plates that come with it.

Awesome, will definitely place an order!
