Does anyone know if the 999 fuel sending unit can be mated with the m900 wiring harness without modification (electrically)? [bacon]

Wire connections are the same...
What about how the tank sits on the frame, and latches down?
I know someone who has a perfect 916 tank, but the mounting is totally different from my 05 S2R. <bummer>

If you're looking for a SBK tank that's remotely close to a Monster tank.... You'd have to go back to the 851/888 bikes. Nothing any newer is even close.
Are you saying an 851/888 could be modified to fit a Monster frame?

The 851/888 uses the same hinge style and same latch system.
Considering the frame is also basically the same it wouldn't be a big deal to make it work.
The seat/tank interface would be the biggest hurdle.
The 999/749 tank has the finger pins on the front which obviously the monster tank done not have. The fabrication of a bracket or the modification of the frame (such as for a Radical Ducati tank) is necessary. The rear mount for the tank is also different than the monster tank. The fabrication of another bracket is needed to grab the tang with the single hole.
I plan on making a custom sub-frame and seat/tail section.
I just wanted to make sure that the signals sent to the ECU and dashboard from the 999 sending unit is the same as the monster.
