So I wanted more lights. Went with HID at first but absolutely hated that ginormous ballast. Didn't want to cut open my airbox to mount them so while perusing around I saw some LEDs..

Apologize for the blur of a mess, was trying to blur the plates and got carried away...
Special thanks to tuxicle, johnEE, and Bill in OKC for all the help trying to school me and tutor me out of my complete lack of understanding in how electric flow works!
These shots are with the dimmer relay on at 50% power. It's noticeable during the daytime but not blinding. I still need to find a time and place to get night time shots and light output.
These are the optimus prime long range LED at 20 degrees.

I noticed these LEDs seem to be the new thing, I'm sure they're bright as the sun but the look is a bit too unconventional for me. All my previous bikes had been upgraded to HID so I immediately noticed the weak output of my 1100evo headlight. I wish there was a simple way to upgrade to LED but keep the stock headlight housing.
OH SHI........
Looks like your new monster bends space and time behind it.
It might look bright, but how is the projection on the road?? Ive thought of going HID however my buddy travis had HID's in his S4R and the pattern made it spread too much due to the HID bulb design. They do look REALLY bright if you look into it though....

Did your friend do a full retrofit or only the HID bulb?
I've been pussying out to ride at night so far. I still need to get night time pics. It gets down into the mid 40's and I have no desire to even venture out on the bike to take pics. I will get some soon (hopefully)
