Title: Older Monster ECU tweaking Post by: CDawg on April 17, 2013, 10:48:51 AM FWIW, I just learned the the older ECUs (5am Magneti Marelli) can now be reprogrammed by some tune shops by purchasing a software key. Specifically, European Cycle Service has offered to do a full custom dyno-tune using the stock ECU.
Software key is being priced at $250. Dyno-tune is being priced at $600+ This seems similar to the ECU reflashing available, but with the added functionality of a customized map. Here's the website. but i have a special situation, and i am only NOW geting time to warranty it. but i paid $650 for a dyno tune and $250 for the unlock + tax etc. i am dropping it off at the end of the month. Let me know if they can get your bike fixed.
