Phone is an LG Shine, got it a couple days ago.
I've got a Motorola bluetooth earpiece.
This am, earpiece was turned off.
Went to my computer, 40 feet and 2 walls away from the earpiece, and a few seconds later, phone goes 'ding-ding'.
Look at the screen, and it says it's connected.
WTF! Connected to what?
To my knowledge, I've got no other bluetooth gizmos, or anything that operates in that frequency.
Any theories on what's going on?
Maybe it connected to your computer?
Well, that's what I thought.
It was certainly connected to something, as I placed a call and there was no sound.
I've got a wireless card in my PC, but I'm pretty sure the frequency for those is way different.
The FCC is pretty picky about that kind of stuff.

Lots on computers have bluetooth (mine all do). Maybe you have it and you don't know you do? I dunno, beyond that I have no clue.
Well, that makes some sense.
If it does it again, I'll dig out the documents on my PC and see what it says.

my bluetooth on my LG chocolate usually acts awkward. it has a mind of its own.
LG chocolate phone is more like the chocolate laxative, uncontrolable :-[
