Post by: Sherlock on April 29, 2013, 09:51:48 AM
I'm thinking about leaving it this way for that "unique" look ;D

Took about 5 minutes. Hoping there's enough interest that I can market this. Maybe as an "anti expansion" mod. It reflects heat and therefore less expansion.

If you could get all the wrinkles out of it, you could market it as a Chromo knock-off  ;D

Hadn't thought of that. Hey, you think I should patent it so nobody would try to make their own?

This is an interesting forum.  Dude spends 5 minutes wrapping his tank in aluminum foil and gets 12 replies to his thread.

I spend 2 full days repainting my tank (having never painted anything before) to make it look magnificent and get 3 posts on my build thread.  Something is wrong here.

Ok I feel a little better now.

A monkey can paint a tank.

To conceptualize and execute what this gifted fellow did is beyond comprehension!  Brilliance is the first word that comes to mind.

Sherlock, how long have you been aware of your exceptional talent?

If we think it looks good now....

.....wait till it comes out of the oven!

Sherlock,
What cooking time do you recommend, and should you baste half-way through with a little unleaded?

Couldn't fit it in the oven and because of the combustable nature of gasoline, chose to use oil circulating space heater in the shop as my heat source. Basted with caswell's tank sealer and cooked for 48 hours.
