Title: Screw elves
Post by: Pinocchio on April 29, 2013, 01:16:46 PM
Do little Italian elves live in your garage and leave extra screws in the pile of parts you took off your Duc last week? In my case, they will take one screw that I need, and leave me four that I don't.

Post up about your personal encounters with these sneaky little bastards!

Mine wear little green felt top hats and pointy shoes...

I thought it was a trombone.  A rusty trombone.

Mine changed the threads on my SF's right hand mirror to left-handed, so I stripped out the scoket headed bolt while trying to loosen (er tighten) it.  Had to cut the mirror off, only to find the evil elf magic later  [bang]

My elves are total assholes.  They play hide and seek with anything loose on the floor, like Ducati-specific fasteners.  Eventually I do find the screws, bolts, washers and/or cir-clips... and they're almost always OUTSIDE the garage.  In the driveway.  Of course I see them only when I'm pulling back into the garage with new replacement fasteners.  I mean, REALLY?

Lil' bastards   [evil]
