This is a borrowed pic, but I'm curious to know if a rear brake master and hose close to an exhaust but not touching (like the pic) would cause any braking problems? Could the heat from the "S" pipe be enough to "boil" the brake fluid and cause premature breaking or lock up? I don't think the section of that exhaust would be as hot as right off the cylinder head. Also being exposed to constant air while riding should help keep it cool.

Its not so much the brake master I'm concerned about, its more the brake fluid hose. The carbon piece looks to only cover the "face" of the brake master. Not really protecting the fluid hose.
covers just enough . . . no promise, but will try to post pic, by the end of the week
