Title: Competition werkes fender eliminator install issue M796
Post by: Gmoore28 on May 05, 2013, 07:41:41 AM
Has anyone else had an issue removing the tail section from a M796 due to what looks like an abs cable running through the bottom plate?  Not sure if it was just routed incorrectly when it was assembled or what, but you can't slide the tail section off b/c of it. I am hesitant to disconnect anything other that electrical in fear of messing something up I can't fix. The instructions for the eliminator shows a non abs version, so there is no module in the diagram.

i just installed a evotech kit on my 2013 796ABS and didn't have any problems, install was really straight forward took about 1 hour total.  i believe the cable you're talking about is either the seat lock cable or exhaust valve cable, both of which are easy to undo.

There are no ABS lines anywhere near the tail.  The cable your referring to is most likely the exhaust valve cable which needs to be disconnected to do this install anyways.  Unplug away, you can't hurt anything back there.
