Title: clutch help
Post by: Matiasneto on May 16, 2013, 03:41:46 PM
Last night after I finished a long ride. I decided to let it cool down and then wash it. Everything was okay I took my time washing the bike cleaning as much of the grime of daily riding as i could. When i went to take off to air dry it i went nowhere. So here is what it is doing. i pull on the clutch it makes a strange sqweak after i let put the clutch i can rev the bike and nothing would happen. if i put it in gear the chain stretches and nothing happens. then out of no where it grabs clutch and i am out like a bat out of hell. but it rarely grabs.

It was picked up by the dealer Saturday. If it is the clutch material it will not be covered. Any ideas?

Sorry for posting in your topic.
I have some bad things happen to clutch.

I guess I have air in clutch lever system. It does not engages sometimes. But today, I stoped at red light and heard some bad sound comming from clutch. It sounded like loud sound of dry clutch at idle at other Ducati. I turned of engine and tried to change gear and pedal would not move and change gear. After several attemps I've got it working and continued my ride.
WTF??? I have plates changed 200miles ago. Bad plates assembly??
Monster 696. 11k miles.
