WANT!
I saw this a while back, but had forgotten about it. It's very cool, and would make for the most badass game of Tempest (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tempest_(arcade_game)) ever.
It might even make first-person shooters fun again.
That tempest reminds me of the scene in starwars where luke tries to fire the torpedos into the deathstar. With that head tracking, man it would be fun! inmagine flight simulators!
That would make first person shooters teh awesome!!!

I almost bought a Wii today. If this would have been available, it would have been a sale.

The Wii is well worth the price of admission for Zelda Twilight Princess, Metroid and Super Mario Galaxy alone [thumbsup]
BTW search Wii Pee on youtube and tell me you don't want a Wii now ;D
I remember when that hit Thinkgeek on April 1st.
Cool, total genius.
Whats really nice is that the Wii knows where you are - so it can tell if you failed to dodge a bullet, or a fist.
Great stuff! :D
see that door behind you?
on the other side is a thing we call....the real world.
my new invention.... sandpaper-like pads you put on the guitar hero guitar, so you can get real calluses. [roll]

I just find it funny that people use their brain power to figure out how to make "fake" real, and yet we still havent figured out the whole aids, cancer, ms thing yet.
Dont get me wrong, it's very cool, I just find it sad that we as humans, pregnant dog at the goverment to give us, cheap fuel, keep us safe, keep us healthy, teach us...... oh, and do it without asking me to help pay for it, yet we as the general population, gladly pump shitloads of money into the things that entertain us.
I know..... I'm a grouchy make the beast with two backser [laugh]

Truly, that is the sad part. Don't pregnant dog about $4 gas, then go home to play your PS3 on the 52" HDTV. If you can afford that, the extra $2k in fuel cost each year (and inflation to go with it) isn't gonna kill you.

I'm less grouchy now ;)
dude is gonna write his own ticket to 3dWii hall of fame... when there is such a thing. [clap]
I was talking to my brother in law about this and it turns out that he knows this guy. He is in his last year of school. From what he says, he doesnt have to worry about finding a job, he has a lot of great offers.

What? No "before" pictures? I'm disappointed... :-[
Good for her though...
What I would like to see is an interactive suit that uses pressure cuffs and bladders to simulate objects and strikes. You'd wear it on your upper body and arms, and if would be strong enough to actually freeze your limbs, as if you had hit an actual object. If it were detailed enough you could even replicate picking up and holding objects - how cool would it be if you could pick up a gun in a game and then use it, feeling it through the gloves, with nothing actually in your hands. It could also replicate weapon hits with mild taps to your body. Kind of like that dumb impact vest they had years ago for fighting games (basically designed to beat up adolescents dumb enough to buy one) but developed much further to interact with a virtual world. Combine that with a decent VR headset and headtracking and you'd have a pretty cool immersive game system.

Personally, I'd rather play a shooting game on a computer or gaming system than go out that door and get shot at by real bullets. I mean, it's just personal preference.
I'm not a gamer. In fact, I don't own a system of any sort and bought a Mac with the full understanding that there are far fewer games for it than PC. That being said, I don't see a problem with people wanting to play video games. Now, spending over half your day on one, there might be some problem (but, who am I to judge).
