fit an S2R 800 engine in an M750?? is it possible ?,, more power and 6 speed box with oil clutch, seems a good idea
will it fit the frame?
will it run on M750 carbs and manifolds and ignition system ?,,,,,yes i know pickups need fitting but what else will need to be considered ?????
Swingarm fitting will be a pregnant dog.

Intake & exhaust systems will fit. You'll need an Ignitech unit that runs off of the single pick-up to power both cylinders (they use that unit to put carbs on the DS1000 motors). Unless you're running an '01 or '02 M750 frame, you'll have to drill out your frame for 12mm engine mounting bolts which may be tough due to the limited space to put a socket into the frame holes).

750 swingarm to S2R800 engine.
S2R swingarm won't play with 750 frame unless it's an '02.
Have had a hard look at this idea and priced it all up ,yes it doable ,but , as my M750 is in perfect order its not worth doing and i would be better off spending the money buying an 2003 M800 or 2005 S2R 800 to add to my ducati stable of M750, S4 and 750ss
just ride the bikes you have?
just thinking.
also... not really THAT much more power... and the clutch isn't all it's cracked up to be. there are some problems with the springs in the ATPC unit breaking, as well as some shifter mechanism issues...
ask me how i know.
