I ordered part number 786.1.104.1A Head-cylinder gasket for my 696 from ProItalia (ProItalia is great and I have nothing negative to say about one of our sponsors).
I'm the dummy who thought for $63.46 I was buying 2 gaskets. In the manual it lists quantity as 2 so I thought they were sold in sets of 2.
Do we know of any other aftermarket options that are less expensive than $126.92 for two small gaskets? I'm pretty sure gold isn't even that expensive.
Plus now my bike is disassembled and I would rather replace both gaskets since I have the engine out even though the leak is only coming from one head.

I'm calling ProItalia today as soon as they wake up on the west coast to see if they have any other options.

I know that the quality/reliability on some of their products for the 4V motors has varied.
Not sure about any 2V products.

Sorry it didn't work out with Cometics. They may be waiting until the model/year coverage makes better sense.
